This drama is a fictional story set against the backdrop of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, with an anti-war theme. All conflicts depicted in the drama are artistic representations and do not distort history. Set during the Republican era of China, the story tells the tortuous love between Lan Zhi, a traditional opera performer, and Yang Zhao, a warlord — tracing their journey from initial acquaintance and mutual understanding to love and lifelong devotion amid the turmoil of a chaotic age. This is an original fictional plot; any resemblance to real events or persons is purely coincidental.
